The Shoot
We began with meticulously staged headshots on a black background, ensuring consistency for presentations and promotional materials. During the competition, we captured the high-paced environment of the kitchen, documenting chefs in action and their beautifully plated dishes. The images were organized and retouched on-site by our dedicated photo editor, ensuring immediate delivery for social media and event use.
The Collaborative Process
This year, we had a two-person team on-site in Sydney, working closely with Nestlé’s team and other video production colleagues. The tight schedule meant that images were shot and delivered almost instantly, allowing Nestlé to leverage the content in real-time. We also coordinated with a Melbourne-based team to prepare slideshows for the awards presentation, ensuring everything was seamless and efficient.
Impact and Feedback
Over the years, our partnership with Nestlé has grown stronger. The images we create are used not only during the event but also in Nestlé’s advertising collateral, social media, and large-scale displays. The feedback has always been positive, and the familiarity with the event means we’re always prepared and ahead of the game.
