Showcasing Convair’s Expertise at a National Truck Show

Client Overview

Convair is a long-standing client of ours, known for creating large industrial tankers and containers used to transport grain, stock feed, cement, and other bulk materials. Based in Epping, Melbourne, they have been relying on us for years for everything from photographing their team at work to showcasing their finished products. https://www.convair.com.au/

Project Goal

Recently, Convair needed a high-energy hype reel for a major national truck show. The goal was to create a video that would run on large screens at their stand, highlighting the full breadth of their operations and demonstrating that they’re a major player in their industry, not just a small operation.

The Shoot

We spent a full day filming on-site at Convair’s Epping facility. Our two-camera setup included one camera operator capturing long-lens shots and another on a gimbal for wide, dynamic footage. We filmed the entire process from CAD design and planning to the hands-on fabrication and assembly of these massive containers. It was a full journey from blueprint to finished product.

The Collaborative Process

After filming, we worked closely with Convair’s team spread across Australia—coordinating with their site manager in Melbourne, their marketing manager in WA, and an assistant in Brisbane. Through remote editing sessions and shared screens, we crafted a video that perfectly told Convair’s story. We even incorporated some stock footage to add context and polish.

The Outcome

At the truck show, the final hype reel was a hit. Displayed on large screens at Convair’s stand, it drew in potential clients and partners, showcasing the scale and professionalism of their operation. The video also found a second life as a shorter edit on Convair’s website, giving visitors a quick and compelling look at what the company does. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the video became a key sales tool for the Convair team.
